What do parents, fugitives, and Jesus all have in common?

They’ve all heard, “Everyone is looking for you.”

The Gospel of Mark is a sprint. The transitions are swift, the descriptions are straightforward and the point is in your face. Yet, 3 times Mark describes Jesus pausing, even when everyone was looking for Him. The demand on Jesus was high, but God’s call to pause is higher.
